Advancing Trade Efficiency

Leading the Way in Customs and Trade Facilitation

The Trade Facilitation Commission is an authority on customs solutions and border modernisation. Our mission is to empower UK traders for global success by streamlining customs and border processes and enhancing trade efficiency.

Similarly our goal is to support the UK in realising global trade ambitions and delivering the best border in the world as an integral part of the process.

The Trade Facilitation Commission is currently engaging with traders, ports and key stakeholders to refine the definitive customs and border strategy to facilitate trade through process simplification.

A detailed engagement survey will shortly appear here and will invite you to share your views and experiences so these can be duly considered.

Once the initial report is compiled a version of it will be published here for your comment and consideration.

As time goes on, more research and development papers will be published on this page - The Commission is keen to engage with trade to fully understand practical challenges and to report these in a structured way to HMRC with plausible and achievable recommendations.
